ENGINEERING/DETAILING
Our in house detailers go from bid award straight into shop drawings design using the latest technology and our in house surveying team. We use Graitec and Tekla, top of the line advanced 3D modeling software, that works perfectly with either large out of the ground projects or with the case of Graitec, interior renovation structural and architectural projects.
The difference with USW is the fact that at the time of award of a project, both the client and USW can co-ordinate a shop drawing submittal schedule that can be met. This helps with the overall schedule of the project so that critical milestones can be met for a successful completion of a project. For the design engineers we work with constantly, they can call our office to talk directly with our detailers to coordinate tricky connections or understanding of the overall design intent. A professional NYS pe can stamp and seal and submittals if required.
STRUCTURAL & ARCHITECTURAL FABRICATION
From the minute the approved shop drawings are received at our offices, we immediately start the fabrication process. Our shop manager starts the process with material procurement and importing DXF files into our CNC controlled equipment. With our 25,000 sq ft. state of the art fabrication plant the largest and smallest of fabrication jobs are easily handled. Our multi-spindle drill line and saws makes the most difficult of projects fabricated to the highest of accuracy ensuring zero down-time in the field.
FIELD ERECTION
Our highly experienced field erection crew has experience ranging from high rise, bridge, highway, reinforcing, rigging, shoring and disaster recovery. No job is too large or too small for or crew. Our licensed welders and riggers will take your job from start to finish with extraordinary speed and care. Speed is critical for the client and end user, we understand that and have the process in place to ,beat schedules. CNC MACHINING/CUTTING/DRILLING
Our fully automated CNC equipment guarantees the highest accuracy of fabrication. Our shop has CNC high definition plasma, multi spindle drill line, and CNC saws, shearing and punching equipment.
DESIGN BUILD
When one of our valued clients encounters a project that requires a design/build input, USW are in a position to aid with the engineering and design of an issue which needs immediate attention and implementation. These services would typically involve emergency shoring or “means and methods” applications to construction practices. Our highly qualified detailers, estimators and project management team can apply the best and most cost effective methods to your project so the least amount of impact is made to the building and the bottom line.
