United Structural Works, Inc., role: Design, Detail, Fabricate, delivery and install all Structural Steel (approx. 2,000 tons). This project involved renovating the old aviation building by reinforcing columns for future loads for the new roof 4-story pavilion building and garden. In addition to this the double height space was covert by adding an additional floor which required notching existing 6’ deep girders down to 3’-6” deep for 50’. This required reinforcing the girders with plating as thick as 4”. Finally the project also included 4 storey “head house” building to the east of the Pier.
